I’m Susan Scott and I’m honoured to serve as Islamic College of Brisbane’s Chief Learning Officer (CLO). I’m passionate about education, from my learning journey to supporting others in theirs.

It is a privilege to work alongside dedicated educators and promising young students at ICB. With over three decades of education experience both in Australia and overseas, I’m dedicated to realising the vision of making ICB the finest school in Australia.

The power of education

Education holds a special place in my heart. I believe it has the power to spark transformative change. I’ve completed several leadership and curriculum development courses and recently obtained a Graduate Certificate in Islamic Education.

Through education, my goal is to empower our students. I want to help build their confidence and creativity so they become lifelong learners and future leaders.

The learning journey at ICB

At ICB, we believe all students can learn, regardless of background, culture, family, identity, or abilities. We commit to an Islamic approach of inclusive education through our everyday practices and educational settings.

Our Diverse Learning Team collaborates with teachers, parents, students, and specialists. We aim to understand and address the needs of our students. If necessary, we can change learning styles, pace, physical spaces, teaching methods, curriculum, resources, and partnerships.

This approach makes sure we provide the highest quality education to help our students reach their full potential.
