All sports conducted at ICB aim to develop the specific sport related skills and learn to control equipment specific to that sport. The extra-curricular sport programs development the athletes vision and awareness as well as fostering a creative and innovative mindset. Athletes learn to conduct quick transitions whilst developing fitness and conditioning. Team and communication is emphasised within all sports and crucial to effective strategies that the participants will learn. The sports offer the ability to train to specific roles within those sports and aim to reduce injury in regular life activities as well. The extra-curricular program offers year-round play and fosters, as best possible, an inclusive nature. The development of the youth aims to create a solid foundation for their later life journey. 

Students participating in Futsal, Netball, Cricket or Touch Football will have a passion for skill development. They will refine the sport specific equipment control. A athlete in this sports develops vision and awareness along side creativity and innovation. Every sport has a high demand for quick transitions and develops their fitness and conditioning specific to that sport and has positive transfer of fitness and skills to be used in other sports. The Sporting program encourages and demands the need for effective teamwork and communication. Within each sport there are also opportunities to develop position specific skills such as keepers, batsman, centres. The programs offer year round play, fosture an inclusive nature, aim to reduce injuries in everyday fitness and are designed to develop youth in a positive manner.

Sporting scholarships are offered every year. Applicants are welcome to apply and selection is based on student evidence from the previous year. Scholarship types are in 3 categories-

  1. 5 at 100% Fee Reduction
  2. 10 at 50% Fee Reduction
  3. 25 at 25% Fee Reduction

Selection Criteria is based on 4 criteria. These being

  1. Focus of Sport provided at ICB
  2. Financial Hardship
  3. External sporting activities that reflect positively back onto the school
  4. Involvement in the school life and extra curricular programs 

A panel of 3 makes judgements on the above criteria to then decide allocations and successful applicants.  All successful applicants are then communicated to via the head of department with notification of amount the scholarship covers and expectations that coincidence. 

Sports via the Extra-Curricular program offered at ICB are-

  1. Futsal
  2. Netball
  3. Cricket
  4. Touch Football

Netball is on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon with games on Saturday at McGregor Netball. Futsal training is Monday to Friday before and after school. Cricket is Tuesday and Wednesday after school. Touch Football is Thursday.
