Islamic College of Brisbane provides the best learning journey for our young individuals in a safe and moral environment through continuous development of the ICB wider school community (learners, staff, parents). ICB provides quality education opportunities, and aims to produce self-disciplined and reflective individuals able to lead the change for a healthier society. ICB will be a leading best education model empowered by improved technology and digital literacy.
STRATEGIC PILLARS
TO IMPROVE ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT
- Increase the percentage of students meeting national standards in reading, writing, and numeracy by 20% by 2028
- Increase the percentage of students achieving an ATAR of 80.00 or above by 20% by 2028
- Attract and retain highly qualified teachers with relevant expertise and experience
TO FOSTER ISLAMIC VALUES AND IDENTITY
- Integrate Islamic pedagogy and values across curriculum
- Encourage students to actively participate in Islamic activities and community service
- Foster tolerance and respect for diversity within and outside Islamic community
ENHANCE THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY
- Encourage the use of latest technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) into pedagogy, curriculum and administration
- Develop in-house software applications to assist in all aspects of schooling
TO PROMOTE A POSITIVE AND INCLUSIVE CULTURE
- Increase the percentage of students, parents, and staff reporting a sense of belonging and inclusion at the school by 25% by 2028
- Develop and implement a comprehensive behaviour management policy and procedure for primary and secondary that focuses on restorative approaches based on Islamic values
- Introduce curricular and extracurricular programmes for Islamically appropriate music, drama, and social justice, to foster inclusiveness and positivity
TO ENSURE RESPONSIBLE AND SUSTAINABLE GROWTH
- Establish girls only secondary campus in Kuraby (K2) by 2028
- Build additional classrooms in existing campus by 2025 to accommodate for growth
- Proactively promote student, staff, and community participation in practices that promotes reduction in financial waste
- Increase funding from non-government sources by 25% by 2028
IMPLEMENTATION FRAMEWORK
Monitoring Progress
The strategic plan will be regularly monitored through:
- Quarterly review meetings with leadership team
- Annual progress reports to the school board
- Regular data collection on key performance indicators
- Feedback mechanisms for students, staff, and parents

- Improved academic results in standardised testing
- Higher rates of student and staff retention
- Increased participation in Islamic and community activities
- Sustainable growth in enrolment and facilities
