The College is requesting that all parents provide an action plan and medication for those students that have asthma (even seasonal), allergies and anaphylaxis. If your child has another serious medical condition you will also need to provide an action plan or doctors letter to the school.
Medication should be provided to the teacher in the junior school along with the action plan. The medication and action plan will be taken with the student on excursions/incursions and for specialist classess including sport. Senior students may carry their asthma puffer with them and those that need an EpiPen should carry it in their pencil case at all times. A record of the action plan is kept on your child's file and will assist with emergency care if required.
Unfortunately if your child does not have a current action plan for 2017, their activities may be limited and they may not be allowed to attend certain activities.
All medication must be labelled and provided in the original packaging. If your child needs some short term medication, please complete the medication administration form available under the student health tab and provide to the school nurse for administration. If you need any assistance, please contact Nurse Catherine for information.
